Welcome to Dive Gear Reviews, a comprehensive guide to scuba diving equipment. Scuba diving is an expensive pursuit, so looking up reviews for a particular article of equipment is a wise precaution before investing any hard-earned money in it. However, consumer reviews may or may not be written by an experienced diver, and magazine reviews could be suspect due to the advertising ties of the publication in question. Dive Gear Reviews provides cross-referenced reviews assembled by an expert, making it possible to see at a glance what multiple sources said about a particular piece of scuba equipment. If one magazine loved a scuba regulator or a dive computer, but the consumers hated it, that information will be found here.

Apeks Flight Scuba Regulator Review

Written by Dive Gear Reviews Editor. Comments Off on Apeks Flight Scuba Regulator Review Posted in: Over $500, Scuba Regulators

The Apeks Flight is a light, compact regulator aimed at the traveling diver, which is no small consideration given modern airline baggage policies. The regulator even comes with its own transport bag as standard. The Flight is reported to deliver smooth, dry breathing in all positions and to have excellent performance in recreational diving tests. Added touches include a neutrally buoyant design that does not weight down on the jaw, and a dive/predive lever that does a good job at preventing free-flow air accidents while floating on the surface. The Apeks is also Nitrox compatible. However, it is not meant for use in waters colder than 10C/50F.
