Welcome to Dive Gear Reviews, a comprehensive guide to scuba diving equipment. Scuba diving is an expensive pursuit, so looking up reviews for a particular article of equipment is a wise precaution before investing any hard-earned money in it. However, consumer reviews may or may not be written by an experienced diver, and magazine reviews could be suspect due to the advertising ties of the publication in question. Dive Gear Reviews provides cross-referenced reviews assembled by an expert, making it possible to see at a glance what multiple sources said about a particular piece of scuba equipment. If one magazine loved a scuba regulator or a dive computer, but the consumers hated it, that information will be found here.

Oceanic Pioneer Dive Mask Review

Written by Dive Gear Reviews Editor. Comments Off on Oceanic Pioneer Dive Mask Review Posted in: Between $101-$250, Dive Masks

Oceanic’s Pioneer dive mask was a 2008 winner for Scuba Diving’s “Most Distinctive Design” award. Among its noteworthy features, the mask has an aluminum frame with a silicon skirt molded right into the mask. Coupled with the contoured buckles, the mask can easily be pressed flat to occupy the minimum volume, an important consideration for traveling divers. The dual lenses offered a full 90 degree view, which was the widest view Scuba Diving reported for any mask it reviewed that year. Oceanic offers Limited Edition versions of these masks, with a black metal frame that comes numbered for authenticity.

Average Price: $110 (Limited Edition, $130)
