Welcome to Dive Gear Reviews, a comprehensive guide to scuba diving equipment. Scuba diving is an expensive pursuit, so looking up reviews for a particular article of equipment is a wise precaution before investing any hard-earned money in it. However, consumer reviews may or may not be written by an experienced diver, and magazine reviews could be suspect due to the advertising ties of the publication in question. Dive Gear Reviews provides cross-referenced reviews assembled by an expert, making it possible to see at a glance what multiple sources said about a particular piece of scuba equipment. If one magazine loved a scuba regulator or a dive computer, but the consumers hated it, that information will be found here.

The Mares Flexa (Trilastic) 8-6-5 wetsuit is a warm, snug, yet reasonably flexible and lightweight wetsuit. The wetsuit’s torso is 8 mm and has an internal liner for maximum insulation and warmth. The arms and legs are 6mm, and finally the wrists, neck and ankles are made out of 5mm Sapphire smooth-skin. That distribution balances warmth with flexibility and ease in getting the suit on and off. Stylish knee pads round out the design, and this particular version of the Mares Trilastic line as a 2008 Most Distinctive Design winner with Scuba Diving magazine. The suit also comes in a pre-formed women’s cut.
