Welcome to Dive Gear Reviews, a comprehensive guide to scuba diving equipment. Scuba diving is an expensive pursuit, so looking up reviews for a particular article of equipment is a wise precaution before investing any hard-earned money in it. However, consumer reviews may or may not be written by an experienced diver, and magazine reviews could be suspect due to the advertising ties of the publication in question. Dive Gear Reviews provides cross-referenced reviews assembled by an expert, making it possible to see at a glance what multiple sources said about a particular piece of scuba equipment. If one magazine loved a scuba regulator or a dive computer, but the consumers hated it, that information will be found here.

Oceanic Delta 4.1 Scuba Regulator Review

The Oceanic Delta 4.1 scuba regulator comes with two stand-out features. First, the FDX-10 first stage that sits at the core of the regulator uses Oceanic’s Dry Valve Technology (DVT) and is fitted with an environmental kit. This seals the yoke valve more effectively to keep moisture and any contaminants out of the regulator. The second stage comes with Oceanic’s Dynamic Adjustment, which makes automatic adjustments to maintain a stable, set breathing resistance throughout the dive. That breathing resistance knob also earned marks from reviewers for being easy to manipulate. The regulator is also made from lightweight materials, reducing jaw fatigue and making it well-suited to traveling divers. The Delta 4.1 regulator is also Nitrox-compatible, and able to handle mixes of up to 40% oxygen. Rounding out the picture are the Oceanic Delta 4.1’s breathing machine test results, which were excellent within recreational depths and almost as good in deeper waters.
