Welcome to Dive Gear Reviews, a comprehensive guide to scuba diving equipment. Scuba diving is an expensive pursuit, so looking up reviews for a particular article of equipment is a wise precaution before investing any hard-earned money in it. However, consumer reviews may or may not be written by an experienced diver, and magazine reviews could be suspect due to the advertising ties of the publication in question. Dive Gear Reviews provides cross-referenced reviews assembled by an expert, making it possible to see at a glance what multiple sources said about a particular piece of scuba equipment. If one magazine loved a scuba regulator or a dive computer, but the consumers hated it, that information will be found here.

Riffe Terminator Dive Knife Review

Written by Dive Gear Reviews Editor. Comments Off on Riffe Terminator Dive Knife Review Posted in: Below $100, Dive Knives

Riffe specializes in gear for spearfishing, so you know a Riffe knife dubbed “The Terminator” must be all business. The 420 stainless steel blade is 4 1/2 inches long and comes with a standard edge on one side and a serrated edge on the other. The Terminator II variant of this knife has serrated edges on both sides. The blade ends with a truly wicked point, and has a line-cutting notch at the base. The rest of the knife — the handle, lanyard and self-locking sheath — are all simple and no-frills. The Riffe Terminator has three mounting options included as standard: leg straps, forearms straps and weight belt mounting slots.

Note: Scuba Diving incorrectly refers to this knife as the “Stubby Terminator,” confusing two different blades in the Riffe product line.

Average Price: $75
