Welcome to Dive Gear Reviews, a comprehensive guide to scuba diving equipment. Scuba diving is an expensive pursuit, so looking up reviews for a particular article of equipment is a wise precaution before investing any hard-earned money in it. However, consumer reviews may or may not be written by an experienced diver, and magazine reviews could be suspect due to the advertising ties of the publication in question. Dive Gear Reviews provides cross-referenced reviews assembled by an expert, making it possible to see at a glance what multiple sources said about a particular piece of scuba equipment. If one magazine loved a scuba regulator or a dive computer, but the consumers hated it, that information will be found here.

Oceanic Accent Dive Mask Review

Written by Dive Gear Reviews Editor. Comments Off on Oceanic Accent Dive Mask Review Posted in: Below $100, Dive Masks

Oceanic’s Accent is a top-flight dive mask, and the latest in their dive mask line. The mask uses a single lens, low interior volume design with a transparent, liquid silicon skirt. Those features make the mask comfortable, light and low-profile, while offering good all-around visibility. For added pluses, the strap buckles swivel and are easy to operate, and the mask comes with a neoprene strap pad. The mask comes with blue, pink, yellow and red trim.

Ultimately, the Accent doesn’t have any special wing-dings, but such things as purge valves are of dubious merit on a dive mask anyway. What the Accent does have are some very nice frills.

Average Price: The mask usually retails for around $75, but is usually on sale at one internet retailer or another, and is sometimes marked down to as little as $35.
