Welcome to Dive Gear Reviews, a comprehensive guide to scuba diving equipment. Scuba diving is an expensive pursuit, so looking up reviews for a particular article of equipment is a wise precaution before investing any hard-earned money in it. However, consumer reviews may or may not be written by an experienced diver, and magazine reviews could be suspect due to the advertising ties of the publication in question. Dive Gear Reviews provides cross-referenced reviews assembled by an expert, making it possible to see at a glance what multiple sources said about a particular piece of scuba equipment. If one magazine loved a scuba regulator or a dive computer, but the consumers hated it, that information will be found here.

Oceanic Viper Scuba Fin Review

Written by Editor. Comments Off on Oceanic Viper Scuba Fin Review Posted in: Below $100, Fins

Oceanic’s Viper fins are a very run-of-the-mill scuba fin design, but the dirt cheap prices at which these fins are available make them a major option for divers collecting a set of scuba equipment on a budget, or perhaps dive shop owners building up an inventory of rental gear. The Avanti Superchannel from Mares is of a similar design to the Aeris Mako, namely a paddle fin with the big rubber section in the middle. Cressi’s Reaction Fins are fairly typical of modern middling dive fins. Atomic Aquatics Split Fin (“Smoke on the Water”) Scuba Fin Review

Written by Editor. Comments Off on Atomic Aquatics Split Fin (“Smoke on the Water”) Scuba Fin Review Posted in: Between $101-$250, Fins

It takes some moxie to dub a fin “smoke on the water,” but the most recent installment of the Atomic Aquatics Split Fin certainly earns such a distinctive nickname. Ostensibly Atomic Aquatics named the fin that because of its coloring, but the fins are strong performers. The fins are long, wide split fins with a […]
